Story
Hello Friends and Supporters,
My name is Jane Akadiri, and I am the founder of Touch of Love Outreach. This year, on June 2nd, I will be participating in the Aberdeen Kiltwalk, undertaking the Wee Wander to raise crucial funds for Touch of Love Food Banks. Our food banks play a vital role in combating food insecurity among the most vulnerable in our community, and your support can make a real difference.
Since their inception in March 2020, our food banks in Torry have distributed over 20,000 nutrient-rich food parcels and served more than 25,000 meals to adults and children facing severe food challenges. Despite our efforts, the need continues to grow, and we are determined to expand our reach and impact.
By supporting my Kiltwalk challenge, you are not just donating—you are actively participating in a movement to ensure no one in our community has to worry about their next meal. The Kiltwalk is an incredible opportunity because thanks to The Hunter Foundation and Kiltwalk sponsors, up to 125% of every donation received goes directly to the charity. This means every pound you donate is amplified, providing even greater support to those in need.
How can you help? Join me by walking, donating, or spreading the word. Every bit of support counts tremendously and is deeply appreciated. Together, we can ensure that Touch of Love continues to be a beacon of hope and support for those who need it most.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Let’s make this Kiltwalk the most impactful yet!
With gratitude,
Jane Akadiri
