I was diagnosed with MND in July 2019 and immediately all our lives were changed for ever. However with the support of my wonderful husband Dave , sons Greg and Jon, family and friends we are 1 year on and here I am ready for my challenge of 500 steps as part of Mission 5000.

I have received wonderful support from the association in terms of practical support and know that more funds are needed to support individuals ,families, to raise awareness of this devastating disease  and to fund research.

During the past year friends have raised money by cycling coast to coast, hosting a tea party  and organising a garden party. There were other events in progress . Greg and Jon and the rest of the fab 5 were to do the Brighton Marathon and Stu the London Marathon . Suzie was organising the Big Quiz Night . Ruth and Mollie half marathon.All these events have been postponed .

Nothing can change my diagnosis but your support will help other people and hopefully there will be a breakthrough in research that might halt the rapid progression of this terminal disease or in the future find a cure .
