Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those that don't know, Bob suffered a heart attack in November 2005 and "Lives" were the first to attend him at home before the ambulance crew arrived, hence why I have chosen this purley voluntary organisation who rely heavily on donations to continue helping people in the rural countryside of Lincolnshire. As I am sure you are aware when someone first suffers a heart attack it is important to receive medical treatment as soon as possible and to give you an idea of what "Lives" is all about when a “999″ call is made within the responders local area, the Ambulance Service despatch an Emergency Ambulance as normal to the scene. At the same time they will contact the First Responder who is on-duty, due to their location they can often arrive first on the scene and begin to treat the patient. An invaluable service which I am sure you will agree.
Sadly it wasn't his heart that failed him but a tragically he died in a motorbike accident on Thursday 17th October. His funeral will take place on Thursday 7th November, St. Luke's Church, Holton le Moor at 1pm.
