One of Bob's many passions was motorbikes. In 1962 he got his first bike an Arial Colt, an awful unreliable device which Bob managed to keep going for some time, followed by an Arial Arrow 250cc, a Honda 305cc Dream and the ultimate for a bad boy rocker a BSA 650cc A65. Once married and with the responsibility of children his motorbiking days came to an end but fortunately for Bob he was able to pick up his passion when he retired and over the last few years he has had a varity of bikes. In 2007 he passed his advanced motorcycling test and became a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM). Most recently he became a member of PEMC, where he met like minded poeple and enjoyed regular ride outs across the U.K.
Sadly on 17th October he was in fatal accident on his Suzuki DL650A. He been on a ride out to Rutland with a good friend as they were checking out a possible venue on behalf of PEMC for next year.
His funeral will take place at St. Luke's, Holten le Moor on 7th November at 1pm.
