Thank you for visiting my 2022 Beach to Beacon fundraising page for the Center for Grieving Children, a nonprofit organization that provides a safe space, loving peer support, outreach, and education to grieving children, teens, families, and the community.

I found the center while still living on Sonoma Mountain, and immediately emersed myself with a collective of beautiful folx into some of the finest training I've ever received.  Currently, I volunteer as a facilitator for children in their middle years, in the TLC program, for families coping with serious illnesses.  It is a beautiful gift to be able to witness these children and their families, and I am proud to represent the Center at the Beach to Beacon. 

The Center for Grieving Children, based in Portland, Maine, serves more than 4,000 grieving children, teens, families, and young adults annually through peer support, outreach, and education. Offering their services at no charge, for as long as people need them, the Center’s mission is to provide loving support that encourages the safe expression of grief and loss and fosters each individual’s resilience and emotional well-being. The Center reaches individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and relies on financial contributions from individuals, businesses, foundations, United Way, and special events.
