I have specialised in the care of people with Dementia for over 30 years, in particular younger people. Sadly, in all that time there has been very little progress in terms of effective treatments. Everyday, I see first hand the distress caused by this illness but also the wonderful care many people receive and the ongoing support Carers need. 

My 'team' & I want do something to continue to raise awareness that unfortunately the battle is not won. We all need to be aware that Dementia does not discriminate and we must do more to raise funds to help at every level from research to improving the day to day lives of those with the illness and their Carers.
