Flora London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·

Friends of Greenmead raises money to help equip physically disabled children with the special equipment and therapy services essential to their development and to enable them to live fulfilled lives.

Story

Sara and Janet are going to run (and walk) their hearts out to complete the 26.2miles of London sights. After Janet's tremendous success in completing the 2006 London marathon, Sara has been bitten by the running bug as well.

Sara and Janet are raising money towards 'Jodie's Music Therapy' fund which enables some children of Greenmead School to access a weekly Music Therapy session. Greenmead Primary School is a small school catering for students with severe and multiple disabilities. (www.greenmead.wandsworth.lgfl.net)

Jodie was a pupil at Greenmead School and her music therapy sessions were one of her favourite lessons of the week. Music Therapy assists children to communicate and express themselves by making sounds and vocalising, playing instruments, movement and listening.
