Story
In 2010, I had heart surgery, then in 2011 I stated with arthritis and had my first hip replacement in my early 40's in 2013, this was followed by knee surgery, a second hip operation and finally a third hip operation in 2018. I am now fit enough to take on a challenge and I will be working towards getting fitter to climb Snowdon in the May bank holiday. I have never taken on a challenge like this because of my health and I am scared to death but I really want to do it. The journey to the climb will mean I will be improving my health and fitness at the same time and also conquering my fear of heights. Joining me on the journey for support will be my sister in law Debbie Baillie and also my daughter Katie Drew. Together we are Janette's Snowdon Challenge team. Our aim is to raise as much as we can to support NSPCC and its fantastic services like Childline. Last year Childline answered over 7000 calls to children in the Christmas week its vital that we are able to provide support when it's needed. I have worked for the NSPCC 19 years this year and this is the biggest challenge I will have ever completed.
My Snowdon challenge has changed to the 12th September due to Corona Virus, In September 2000 I started working for the NSPCC this means I am completing the challenge in my 20th anniversary xx
