Jan's Music

For a number of years, I have made ambient-ish electronic music under the name "A Collection of Notes". A large proportion of the music is made when I am away somewhere and generally incorporates the sounds of that location. Sometimes it is possible to improvise the track whilst "in the field" using both some recorded sounds and the sounds picked up in real time, other times I work on the tracks in the evening using the sounds collected during the day. I call all these tracks the "Real World Sketchbooks" and I have never actually released any of them.
However, to raise money and awareness for the Brain Tumour Charity, during Advent 2019 I will be releasing twenty-four of my electronic music tracks onto my Bandcamp page, https://acollectionofnotes.bandcamp.com/ (along with excerpts on my Soundcloud page https://soundcloud.com/acollectionofnotes/sets/adventus) - one track per day. The completed album (called "Adventus") will be a compilation of tracks spanning 2015 to 2019 with the majority of tracks being taken from the "Real World Sketchbooks". All I would ask is that if you like any of the tracks please consider making a donation here to support the work of the Brain Tumour Charity.
