Story
My darling girls Lexi and Darcie were born13weeks premature. Weighing just over 2lbs each, their tiny bodies endured unimaginable challenges. Me and Tony learned a whole new vocabulary and 4 months turned into an auto-piloted blur. Without the help and support received in that time I fear I would not have been seeing in 2018 with my babies to wake up to, nor would I have kept my sanity.
The staff on the NICU ward at Pinderfields General Hospital were fantastic, but this is not the only hospital helping premature or sick newborn babies.
I’ve chosen to fundraise for Bliss because I want to make a real difference to the 95,000 babies born premature or sick every year. Every donation that’s made to this page brings Bliss closer to ensuring that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life. Bliss does that by supporting parents to care for their babies, campaigning for better neonatal care and enabling life-changing research.
