Paris-Roubaix is the world's most famous one-day cycle race. Held in north eastern France it is aptly known as "The Hell of the North" - a name resulting from the long stretches of muddy farm roads, paved with roughhewn "bone-shaking" cobblestones.

Yes!! I can't wait!! I've been training on Somerset's potholed and seemingly permanently damp roads but think this is gonna be toughie! Eek! I'm packing extra padding....

I'm raising money for MusicSpace, a Bristol based charity working with children, young people and adults with physical, learning and communication difficulties.
