**UPDATE** 

Originally myself & my son InLaw Christian Davies, planned to ride fromLoughor to Rome in memory of my wife, in aid of Ty Olwen but there has been a slight hiccup! I have now been diagnosed with cancer myself, and have had major surgery while I await chemotherapy. It looks like I will not be able to complete the ride, but Christian is still going to complete it, and is working extra hard to do this. So please still support him and this challenge! Thank you! 

I decided to do this challenge in memory of my beautiful wife whom I met at age 16. We were together nearly 30 years, until the day she passed away from cancer. Her illness took her in the short space of 18mths. When first diagnosed, she kept it so quiet as our son was away serving in Afghanistan and she didn't want to worry him, always putting others first. Janie was a very special lady and my best friend, always doing trying to make a difference for others, whether it was abseiling down a building for charity or auditioning for the Xfactor to raise money for injured soldiers. 

This challenge will be something to remember her, and honour her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, nanna & friend with an open door policy to anyone in need of it. 

All the money raised will go to Ty Olwen which is a hospice for people with advanced incurable disease. 95p of every £1 goes directly to patient care. It is a wonderful place that just does not have the money it so desperately needsThanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
