Story
On 21st July 2022 Dad sadly lost his battle to MND but boy did he fight it right up until the end. We are so proud of him for never giving up and keeping his amazing smile throughout. A true MND warrior ❤️. There will never be a day that goes by where I do not think him and smile at all our wonderful memories. This marathon has more meaning than ever now, and we will run it in his memory.
Motor Neurone Disease has affected my family for over 20 years. I’ve lost 3 wonderful aunties who fought everyday to fight this cruel disease.
After many years of ballot rejections, I finally secured a charity place in the 2022 London Marathon & will be running for MND Association.
I know you may think I am a “runner” & whilst I can put one foot in front of the other, training to run 26.2 miles is going to be both physically challenging and a mental battle to the finish line...but I WILL do it for my family & all those affected by MND & the suffering they endure.
Anything I can raise will help those living with MND & their families.
I hope to one day be able to share the good news that a cure has been found & we can live in a world free from MND.
Cherish your loved ones & make every day count. Time is precious.
