Story
Charlie Gard - a special little boy
"There are people who still do not understand you after a thousand spoken words, and there are people who understand you without a word"
Thank you for sending us such a person.
Friendships arise in many ways: in kindergarten, at school, clubs, sports etc. Our friendship was created thanks to Charlie.
Both of us heard in 2017 for the first time from that horrible disease through Charlie Gard. The little boy who captured our hearts. Since then we learned alot about MITO and have come into contact with families where the children are affected.
We are both mothers and it breaks our hearts to see children suffering. And there are so many children who are affected. That´s why we try to raise as much awareness as possible and do fundraisings
Our challenge: we are abseiling down the ArcelorMittal Orbit (114.5m) in London.
Since I have previously had to be rescued from a tree, this will be funny for all spectators, and a tough thing for both of us to complete.
We care and we want to help create a brighter future for Mito-Patients. Research into mitochondrial disease is ridiculously under funded. Too many children lose their life to a mitochondrial disease.
