Story
I was diagnosed with secondary progressive MS in 2003, but had experienced symptoms for more than 40 years. Over the past 10 years my walking has deteriorated by 50%, and I now rely on a walking stick, a wall or hubby's arm.
Those that know me know I do all I can to stay active and challenge myself, and so on Sunday 20 September I will attempt to walk, unaided, to the bottom of my garden and back - 300 feet.
I'm a proud Ambassador for the MS Society, and I'm doing this as part of the MS Walk Live event to raise vital funds.
This will be a big challenge, so please send me words of encouragement on social media, and make a donation to the MS Society if you can.
Every penny will help the MS Society provide information, support and friendship to people living with MS across the UK, as well as fund ground-breaking research into better treatments and hopefully one day a cure to stop MS for good.
Thank you so much for your support - wish me luck!
Janis xx
