Story
I’m raising money for Home-Start Kernow ( Cornwall) after being inspired by 11-year-old Max Woosey, who is camping in a tent in his garden for a whole year!
I’ll be joining ‘Max’s Big Camp Out on Saturday 27th March to raise as much money as I can for Home-Start Kernow who offer peer support to families of young children who are struggling across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. This means a lot to me because I love Cornwall and , as you know, I love children ! I know that families there have really been affected by the pandemic because people like you and me haven't been able to get there on holiday meaning that there are lots of job losses, increasing child poverty , issues with child development and lots more mental health problems.
Shockingly, although a great place to go on holiday, Cornwall has some of the most deprived areas in the country and so charities are having to work hard to meet all the need there.
It would be fantastic if you could cheer me on by donating whatever you can . Its going be a long, cold , scary night and the thought of all of your warm wishes ( and cash!) will keep be going through the night.
Thanks a million!
