School-Home Support (SHS) tackles barriers to learning for disadvantaged children. We work outside of the classroom, with parents to improve school attendance, behaviour and engagement in learning. Supporting children’s education is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of disadvantage.

Story

School-Home Support was registered as a charity in 1984 and this year is our 25th anniversary. Last year SHS supported 41,000 vulnerable children and their families. It is an amazing service which provides emotional and practical support for some of the most disadvantaged families in our communities and I am doing all I can to make sure we can continue to support those families and reach even more in the coming years.

To help with our fundraising SHS colleagues and I did the "Do it for Charity" 5K fun-run in Regent's Park on 10 May . Thank you to all those who have sponsored us. If you couldn't do it before but would like to, this page is open for donations until September.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: School-Home Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor me now! Thanks in anticipation.
