Story
In 2009 my Mum, Alina, died of cancer. My daughter Ewa and I set up a foundation in her name to support Polish hospices and promote the hospice movement. Our main fundraising event is an annual bike ride. I'll be 1000 km in 8 days across Latvia, Lithuania and Poland to raise money and raise awareness of importance of palliative care . We'll be visiting a few hospices while cycling through Latvia and Poland.
Please support me. Every penny donated goes towards fulfilling our mission - we have no staff or administration charges.
The Alina Foundation helps children and adults with terminal illnesses and their families by providing essential equipment, such as beds and respirators, for hospices in Poland and Lithuania. I will be riding 1,000km across Eastern Europe to raise funds, deliver equipment and see first-hand the work of these organisations. I am covering all costs of participating in the ride, and the Foundation's trustees cover all administrative costs, so your donation will be used entirely to purchase equipment for hospices. On behalf of patients and their families, thank you very much for your support.
