Campbelltown Challenge Walk 2021 · 14 March 2021
We are uniting to walk and promote this form of blood cancer. Myeloma tumours originate in the bone marrow plasma cells. Plasma cells form part of the immune system. Myeloma Australia is the only Australian myeloma specific not-for-profit organisation. They support, educate, inform, empower and bring hope to people who are living with myeloma, and their loved ones. Their services for people living with myeloma include myeloma Information and Support Groups; the myeloma Telephone Support Line; regular myeloma seminars; and the publishing of myeloma fact sheets, magazines and books. The organisation also facilitates support for myeloma research in Australia; educate health professionals involved in the care and treatment of those living with myeloma; raise community awareness and understanding of myeloma; and advocate for improved patient access to the latest treatments at affordable prices. All their services are provided free of charge to ensure equitable access, and are delivered by our team of specialist myeloma support nurses. This team hopes to help continue this essential work by providing funds to the community for those living with myeloma.
