Story

I will be completing The Celebration Mile on 21st July for Independent Age. Okay,  you are probably thinking that a mile isn’t far to run, walk or jog - but with my Rickety Joints and Dodgy Knees (good name for an elderly pop group?!) it’s a challenge for me and one I have been “training” for over the last couple of months. Independent Age provides regular visits and telephone calls for older people from caring volunteers and I would like to raise £100 which would fund 20 hours of friendship telephone calls to an isolated older person. Independent Age also help with worries older people might be facing whether they're about finances, mobility, or other day-to-day issues, so they don't have to cope with difficulties alone.www.independentage.org
