It has been 6 years since Jared’s Heroes has been participating in Easterseals MA events and supporting Easterseals MA amazing efforts to ensure all individuals have equal opportunities in all aspects of their lives. This year, we will be participating in Easterseals Move Campaign. Over the past 5 years, we have raised over $13,000.
I am thrilled to continue this tradition of raising awareness for Easterseals and to honor my brother Jared. I hope you are able to contribute to our fundraising efforts.

I am very proud to not only assist in fundraising for this organization but also feel extremely lucky to be a Physical Therapist with Easterseals MA for 18 years now. We really do amazing things for our community! Easterseals MA is a not for profit organization that provides many services to individuals with disabilities and veterans. I am most excited this year about the expansion of the pre-employment program, weekly online access to accessible martial arts program and the new launching of massveteran.com.

Your donations continue to be vital for the growing services that Easterseals MA provides to fill gaps for people in our community with disabilities. Easterseals MA continues to expand and reach more & more people every year in our communities. But they cannot do this without you!

Despite a very challenging year for everyone, Easterseals MA not only survived but they continued to expand services. Over this past year, the pre-employment program has been expanded into Western MA. This expansion allows increased access in Massachusetts for people with disabilities to get assistance in job training and job placements. With the necessary changes during Covid-19, Easterseals MA quickly
made modifications to reach individuals via telehealth to access therapy services, AT services as well as recreation programs. Accessible Martial Arts and Youth Leadership Network is now online and weekly which has made it more accessible to a wider audience.  Massveteran.com https://massveteran.com/ was recently launched and is great resource of information to Veterans and their families.  The website provides easily accessed information on the Easterseals MA programs that can assist Veterans with post Military Life including support groups and support with job search & job
training.

This will be my 16^th walk as a participant. However, 6 years ago I decided to create my own team in honor of my brother Jared who passed away 12 years ago. My ultimate goal in naming my team in honor of my brother is to keep Jared’s spirit alive & to continue his legacy. When he was alive, he was not involved in Easterseals, but he always talked about the value of life & living life to the fullest and looking out for others in need.  Easter Seals mission “To ensure that ALL people have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play” closely resembles Jared’s passion to help people.  I feel he would be so proud to support this amazing organization if he were still with us. I cannot think of a better way to honor my brother than to raise money for a mission that is so near & dear to my heart.
