Leicester Marathon 2019 · 6 October 2019 ·

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

Unfortunately on the 18th March 2019 we lost my Grandma shortly after her diagnosis of Bowel Cancer and in her memory I will be running the Leicester Marathon.

It doesn't take much to see that i am quite clearly out of shape and I currently get out of breath walking to the pub. For the next 6 months I'll be swapping the beer for kale juice (or whatever healthy people drink - I honestly wouldn't know) and I've got an awful lot of training to do.

I can't think of a better way to raise money to help stop (or support) the people going through the same nasty illness my Grandma went through.

Ellen Diane Hill - Gone, but certainly not forgotten.
