The Lullaby Trust exists to keep babies safe and to keep grieving families supported. We fund life-saving research, empower families with expert baby safety advice and support grieving families through their darkest days. We won’t give up until no baby dies suddenly or unexpectedly.

Story

On February 17th 2019, we welcomed the most beautiful boy into this world, Evan Grey Anderson. Evan was strong, a big eater, studied everything around him with a very serious face and was so curious about the world. He loved his books, his toys, and the family and friends that surrounded him. On March 31st 2019, Evan passed in his sleep. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome affects more than 200 children every year in the UK alone. We still don't know what causes SIDS, and I want to do everything I can to help stop this ever happening again.

The Lullaby Trust provides advice and support for bereaved families. They were there for us when we felt so alone and distraught. I would like to help them raise the money they need to continue that support for others, as well as raise awareness for SIDS research and hopefully, one day, prevent it. This year they are part of the charities supported by the Royal Parks Half Marathon.

I am not a runner, by any means. Anyone that knows me well would have spent more than enough time with me on the couch. But I want to help, and I want Evan to be proud of me. Please donate to this cause if you can - I'll be updating this page with my training and progress over the next few months until the final race day on Sunday 10th October.

Thank you for any support you're able to give.
