Project Harar is a small but ambitious international charity providing health outreach services in Ethiopia. We work in some of the most disadvantaged and hard to reach communities to provide access to treatment for infants, children and young people born with cleft lip and palate and more complex facial disfigurements. These conditions impact child development and are a source of stigma in the community, often leading to children dropping out of school or not enrolling.
When a child accesses treatment for a cleft lip and palate or complex facial disfigurement, their life prospects are significantly improved, they are able to rejoin their community, eat speak and smile.
