Story

In November 2017, my daughter Izzy suffered a very unfortunate accident which resulted in burns to her lower rib cage, right hand and very severe burns to her left thigh coupled with nerve
damage to her right arm.

This started a worrying journey for Izzy (and us as her family) of skin grafts and other treatments/operations in the Queen Victoria Hospital for a prolonged period.

Izzy is still registered as a patient with the hospital for annual check-ups/any relevant treatment but has thankfully come through the other side and lives life to the full as a very strong and
caring person!

Having raised money previously for the hospital, my team and I have set a goal to raise further cash to ensure funds continue to flow to the wonderful Children’s “Peanut Ward” (who treat not only burns but other conditions also) in the Queen Victoria Hospital. It is clearly awful for anyone to experience their child going through something like this, and it opened our eyes to the horrific traumas that they deal with on a daily basis.

QVH help so many children and work so hard to change  lives and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to help them further and hopefully we can all get behind this wonderful charity once again (they really do amazing things and could not have
been any kinder and supportive)

Izzy has always dreamed of going travelling having finished her education but the Pandemic has meant that this is not possible. We have taken this as a theme and following on from the previous round of fund raising through “Izzy’s Walk” , have decided to ramp things up and undertake a second virtual walk/run/ride/step covering London to Paris  - circa 232 miles/ 371 Km in one day. This will be a challenge on its own through varying fitness/health levels but we are determined to achieve the distance collectively on the 24th March 2021.

So please, I ask you once again to get behind this wonderful charity and any donation received (however small or large) is equally appreciated!

Thank you
