For those of you who don't know me, I am of course in peak physical condition and with a spring in my step can not wait to run the London Marathon...

For those of you that do know me, you are probably laughing your heads off at the prospect of me taking part in the London Marathon as you all deal with my daily complaints about bad knee's, aching back, stiff joints and a deep hatred for running ever since my army days extracted any possible enjoyment out of bipedal locomotion with the constant running in full combat gear! 

So.... you maybe wondering why I'm doing this! In part because of how forgetful I am, but also because I love pets. I mean who doesn't? They are our support line, our motivators and our best friends. Without the pets I have had in my life I can honestly say I wouldn't be who or where I am today. 

The Blue Cross help over 10,000 pets abandoned or unwanted pets each year, 30,000 pets are given vital veterinary care when owners cant afford it and more than 80,000 young people are educated in responsible pet ownership across the country. After being on the team now for a year , there is no where else I would rather be and seeing the vital work the Blue Cross does each day has made me take on this challenge with passion I forgot I had. That's why, although its going to be RUFF (first of many pet puns) I want to try and get a sub 4 finish!
