I have left my story below, but wanted to say that I did the trek on Saturday and it was the most amazing experience and one I'll be doing again next year on the 9th August 2014. Thanks all for your kind support. This helped me to be part of this amazing day by providing motivation.

My story...

I am a testicular cancer survivor since 2008 and my dear friend Phily Morris and many other amazing fellow cancer survivors are doing this for the 6th time this year and I am very excited to be doing this this year for my first time.  The work that checkemlads and the mark gorry foundation do is first class.  I'm honoured to be part of this event and to be part of a project funded by this amazing charity currently. Anything that you are able to spare will go towards supporting men with testicular cancer and equally as importantly, to raising awareness of this disease.
