Story

Hello all, thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As you are all aware, I have taken the mad decision to enter and compete in the 2010 London Marathon, yes that’s right, a marathon 26.2 miles of sweat, blood, blisters and tears to be precise!  As you can see, my fundraising target is £1,750 of the finest English pounds and any amount would be extremely appreciated through my chosen fundraising charity; The Children’s Society and will go a very long way to achieving my target!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure and it is the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Children’s Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

day itself falls on Sunday 25th April 2010 and it would be great if you could turn out and shout me on, every bit of encouragement will be gratefully received.  Am aiming for a sub 3 hour 45 min time, so fingers crossed!

Update (31st January 2010) – Epsom (10K)

Second attempt in two years, smashed 8 minutes off my time last year with a time of 44 mins this time round.

Update (7th February 2010) – Watford Half (13.1 Miles)

First attempt at this one, 1 hour 44 mins (the training is paying off, note: 38 days off the sauce)

Update (28th March 2010) – Cranleigh 21 Miler

Update (19th April 2010) – Rest / Taper

Wow,  I remember this feeling, you know the one when you dont run, dont watch what you eat albeit, lots of pasta / carbohydrate loading, lots of fluids (no sauce just yet), feet up, being able to persuade your girlfriend that i got to watch the football (for one more week) as i need rest....hehehe

Kind thanks in advance for your support and catch you in the pub for a shandy soon!
