100 miles for a CURE

My dear friends Kelly and Miguel know all too well how devastating epilepsy can be. Adelaide was diagnosed with infantile spasms, a particularly severe form of pediatric epilepsy, at just nine months old. After fighting against seizures for 3 years, Adelaide passed away in October 2019 from an unknown neurodegenerative condition, just days before her fourth birthday.
Kelly, a CURE Epilepsy Board Member and epilepsy advocate, and her husband Miguel, star of Broadway’s Hamilton, are committed to raising awareness about this complex condition and supporting cutting-edge research through fundraising. They battle epilepsy with unrelenting determination not just in the name of their daughter, but for the 65 million people worldwide who live with this disease and its often-devastating consequences.
On September 17th I will be running a 100 mile ultra marathon to support my friend's cause and to raise awareness and funding for CURE Epilepsy. To date, the furthest run I have completed has been the NYC marathon (26.2 miles). This run is just a little further and I can't wait to cross the finish line with you all!!
