Jason cycles King of the Road 2019!

King of the Road 2019 · 26 July 2019
Thanks for visiting!
This summer I'll be doing something stupid again....giving up alcohol. But why would I do that? Because I'll be doing another potentially stupid thing, a cycle from Milan to Venice with an amazing group of Kingsters.
Why!?
Partly because of the fitness. Last year I lost my Indian beer belly but I'm still not getting any younger and will need to woo someone foolish enough to date me at some point.
But mostly (entirely) it's because the charity we're raising money for, SpecialEffect are genuinely incredible!
Last year I went a bit overboard, raising £1,261.99 of a £500 target. This year I don't expect such amazing generosity from all of you beautiful people, £5/10/20 or whatever you have to donate will help. :)
Love you all!
SpecialEffect
As a gamer I've always believed in the power of gaming stretching far beyond just casual entertainment, it can seriously help people emotionally and make their lives more enjoyable regardless of their situation. At King we've been fortunate to receive messages from family members of people suffering from terminal diseases that our games have helped. However, for those with physical disabilities games are a lot less accessible.
SpecialEffect help put the fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play video games. By using technology ranging from modified joypads to eye-control, they find a way for people to play to the best of their abilities. Their not just doing it for fun. By levelling the playing field, SpecialEffect bring families and friends together and have a profoundly positive impact on therapy, confidence and rehabilitation.
SpecialEffect are a hugely impactful charity that help those with physical disabilities do something I personally love doing - playing games. Do find out more about SpecialEffect and the amazing work they do here: https://www.specialeffect.org.uk/
