The Friends give grants to both adults and children who need financial help to play sport. This could be for kit, or help to tour. We also help those who have been injured playing with medical bills and maybe subsistence. We will help clubs/schools with projects to assist in sporting provision

Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I am going to cycling 100 miles through the streets of London to raise money for the British Heart Foundation's and or Friends of Hove Rugby Charity.

The Friends of Hove Rugby (FOHR) started off as a group of people from Hove Rugby Club who just wanted to help those suffering from hardship at the Club and we have been doing that since 2011. In 2018, we converted the Friends into a Charity and intend to carry on the good work and expand a little. We exist to help bring sport and particularly rugby to all in our area.

Originally, the Friends concentrated all their resources within Hove, but we have widened our wings and now include the surrounding areas as well. We have made grants to members of both Brighton and Shoreham Clubs in addition to Hove. We will consider the whole of Sussex but will prioritise the BN post code

The Friends mainly give grants to individuals - adults or kids - who need help. This could be for kit, or to go on tour or similar. We will also help those who have been injured while playing sport for either subsistence or help with medical bills. Finally, we will also consider making grants to organisations (schools and sport clubs in our area) for capital projects.
