This year at Northern Ireland Children's Hospice we cared for over 370 children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, in both our inpatient unit - Horizon House and in the local community. We rely on your generous donations to continue to fund our vital services.

Story

I am completing a 70 mile cycle on the 25th June 2022 to help raise vital funds for the Northern Irelands Children's Hospice in memory of my son Alexander.
My brave and beautiful 3-year-old son Alexander recently passed away. The care Alexander received from the entire team at the NICH was of the highest standard whilst showing him love and compassion. The staff also provided (and continue to) vital support to my wife and I during a time that no parent ever wants to experience. We cannot thank the staff and volunteers enough as without them this dark time in our life would have been even darker.

The only service of its kind in NI, Children's Hospice cares for over 370 babies, children and young people each year at our dedicated Children's in-patient unit - Horizon House and in our local communities through our Specialist Community Nursing Team. Our work also extends to families, supporting them from the point of diagnosis right through to the grieving period after bereavement. We receive a small amount of government funding, so we rely on the generosity of our local community to help us to continue to deliver our vital service.
