Transform Together Fitness White Collar Boxing Event · 6 September 2019

Silkworth Lodge Rehabilitation Centre was opened in 2002 by The Families in Recovery Trust, a Jersey registered Charity, and part of the Silkworth Charity Group. We are a force of healing and hope for individuals, families and our Island community affected by addiction to alcohol and drugs.

Story

For those that know me, I have made some big changes in my life over recent years which all began ten years ago when I left the Finance Industry and walked through the doors of Silkworth Lodge as their new CEO, a role that I would never have imagined would become a passion as opposed to just a job.

Everyday I count myself lucky to be in the position that I am in doing the job that I do with an amazing team round me delivering services within the island and further afield that are effectively helping people change their lives for the better. This year I celebrate 10 years at Silkworth Lodge and I could not think of a better way to mark that accomplishment by taking part in this boxing event and raising money for the charity that has played a huge part in mine and my families lives.

The charity has worked within the community supporting alcohol/addicts and their families for nearly 25 years. In 2020 we will be launching our teenager and adolescent programme which will be the first of its kind in the whole of the UK and one of only two in Europe. This is such a significant development in our strategy and something that is greatly needed , so the charity needs to raise as much as possible which will go towards the development costs of this unique suite of adolescent programmes.

A big thank you to Cameron and Tom ( co founders ) from Transform Together Fitness and Promotions, who chose Silkworth as the charity that they wanted their event to support. This has inspired me to take part and push myself to get myself in the best physical and mental state ready for the big event in the 21st December.

Also a big thank you to my good friend Tony Riley from ' Riley's Rope Access Maintenance Limited ' who is sponsoring me to take part in this event.

I am going to be in the best physical and mental state of my life and am so ready to take this on.  I know that there is so many requests these days for sponsorship but anything you can do yo help me reach my target will be greatly appreciated...
