Story
As a local enjoying the outdoors mountain biking, cycling and motorcycling. I am aware that rescue services are a crucial part of the communitity. So this is my 3rd, 50 km a day challenge for the Nelson Marlbourgh Rescue Helicopter. Cycling 50km a day in March, that is 1550km.
Initially I thought the 50km a day challenge would be pretty easy as a individual. the reality completing this while working full time isn't quite so simple. However, I do have to say it is certainly one of the best months of the year.
This is the 2nd year for Craigs Investment Partners have come onward to support the challenge Nationally, to raise funds for the Regional Helicopter Trusts.
So I would like to encourage you to either setup a team/go solo, or if either of those aren't possible, give me a hand. We all know people that have benefited from the Nelson Marlbourgh Rescue Helicopter.
So give me a hand and let hope none of us need to use its service.
Regional rescue helicopters provide a vital safety net for all people who require urgent medical, or search and rescue support. In a life and death situation, every minute counts, and helicopter rescue especially in rural or remote locations is often the patients best chance for survival.
