I'm really excited to announce that in May 2025 I’m joining a team of 25 swimmers, to take on the iconic challenge of swimming from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco led by Velindre Charity Ambassador Dave Tonge and Patron Shane Williams, to raise much needed funds for Velindre Cancer Centre.

It’s going to be an epic challenge, we will need to swim around 2 miles battling strong currents, cold water and hopefully avoiding any sharks!

However, this challenge is nothing compared to those battling cancer, their families and their friends. Cancer will affect most of us in one way or another, many of us have lost loved ones to this cruel disease. By donating you’ll be helping to fund a range of services that go above and beyond the NHS and ultimately helping to change lives.

Velindre Cancer Centre has been providing specialist treatment and supportive care to cancer patients and families for over 65 years.
