Story

On the 20th February I will be taking part in my first half marathon (13.1 miles) for The Social Interest Group. Running was unchartered territory for me a couple of months ago so this is a huge challenge, but the countdown is on!

Bridge House service delivers residential support to homeless families in Luton, focusing on expectant mothers and those with or aiming to have guardianship of young children.

Donations are vital to the service, ensuring residents, including the children, have a positive stay during their time of crisis. They help the service support families from the day they arrive, providing everything from new bedding, pots and pans to food and toiletries, nappies, baby milk, extra clothing and toys for the children.

Donations also enable extra activities, including pampering sessions to help boost women's confidence and morale, soft play and arts and crafts activities to stimulate the children and support their development and positive interaction with their families. This has been especially true during the pandemic as most of the children are lock-down babies and have not been able to access support from external services that would have usually been available.

I appreciate every little penny donated so thank you to everyone for your support!!
