Story
Following ACL injury in March, a lot of doubt along the way, adapting whole training and running style to accommodate and rehab, finally feel got a fighting chance of finishing London Marathon 2 weeks on Sunday following today’s horrendous 20 miler!
Will be running on behalf of Connah’s Quay Nomads for our partner charity of 2021 Mind whom we have raised to date over numerous events together as a club exactly:
200 Miles Challenge £5690 - January 2021
1 Mile a Day - Nomads Academy £7864 - February 2021
Three Peaks Challenge £834 - June 2021
For 2021 to date Connah’s Quay Nomads has raised exactly £14388.
For this final London Marathon challenge we are aiming to break the £15,000 mark. To achieve this will need to raise exactly £612 which is what has been set as the target on the new just giving page.
Appreciate everyone’s help and support to date on an already incredible amount of money raised for a charity which has helped so many during COVID and over the last two years in particular.
Special mention to Matt Steel physio and Jack Sullivan conditioning coach for getting me physically to a point to even attempt this in two weeks. Committing 100% to new strengthening plan and program to rehab ACL rather than fifth surgery been incredible and huge thanks to both.
Huge thanks again to anyone who can donate and hopefully we can surpass the £15,000 mark in 2021 for the nomads partner charity mind.
