Story
Taking part in a mates team to represent Tanwen in this year event any donations are very great full
Tânwen was born in Chichester on 16-7-81 and was the youngest of Four. Two sisters, Roberta and Rhonwen and 1 brother Owen.
She lived on Hayling Island until 2003 where she moved to Southsea. Started dating Darren in Oct 2002, engaged in 2003 and married in 2009. She loved music (Bon Jovi, Nickelback, Metallica, Simon & Garfunkel to name a few) Favourite colour purple, liked going to the cinema and days out. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in her 20’s having to inject 3-4 times a day.
In October 2014 after having to go to hospital for her legs swelling, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Her time in hospital, turned into a hospital bed at home with carers attending daily. Chemotherapy failed to help as a rare sarcoma was lying beneath the larger mass.
She was moved to the Rowans hospice (Purbrook) where she saw out the last of her days, passing on 2-3-15 with Darren by her side.
