Story

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Jayesh Thakker
has left for his heavenly abode on 24th June 2022.

His strength, guidance, leadership and helpful nature has
been a great support to various members of the community and beyond. His jovial
nature and ever smiling, helping, easily approachable personality were some of
his greatest qualities. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all
those that knew him.

Thank you all for the kind support to our family during this
difficult time.

Jayesh had a big heart and supported many charities and
community projects worldwide. Some examples include feeding the needy locally,
to building Schools and Eye Camps in Kenya.

Many have asked if they could donate to a charity. We have
chosen the Christie, specifically the Lymphoma team, as Jayesh suffered from Blastoid
Mantle Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and was treated and supported by the
incredible staff there.

The Lymphoma team at The Christie has an international reputation
in clinical trials research to develop novel treatments for Lymphoma patients,
both to improve cure rates and to prolong good quality life in individuals
whose disease is resistant to conventional treatments. The team has a large
portfolio of clinical trials and generous donations have allowed them to invest
in this research which has led to the development of new therapies and
innovative ways to treat Lymphoma. Ultimately, the research undertaken at The
Christie will be disseminated widely for the benefit of Lymphoma patients the
world over. By helping them fund posts and research like this, you can help
make these latest treatment methods a reality. And therefore, help to improve
patient outcomes and care.
