Jaymie's Run To Remember page ........Officers murdered whilst on duty

On 18 th September 2012 Dale Cregan lured Pc's Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes to an address in Greater Manchester with a bogus call and brutally murdered them . This incident brought the Police Family together across the 43 forces. Nicolas dad has set himself a goal raising money for her charity where he will be doing the North Pole Run in April 2014 so we as officers have also been set a challange to raise money for the charity . We have been set to get a team of min of 10 in each of the 43 forces and from 1st December 2013 to 4th April 2014 we have to run 250 miles . This is as little as 2 miles per day for 125 days. I am in a team of now 27 for the Birmingham team West Midlands Police Force and our target each member is to try and raise £100 each.

Care of Police Survivors (otherwise known as COPS) is a UK registered charity dedicated to helping the families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, rebuild their lives. It aims to ensure that survivors have all the help they need to cope with such a tragedy, and that they remain part of the police family.
COPS enables survivors to help survivors. Only another survivor can fully understand what new survivors endure, and that shared experience is the basis for the peer support programme.
