Event: BYPHS Charity Sleep Out 2017, on 21 April 2017
Participants: Melissa Hart, Georgina Walls
The purpose of the event is to raise money and awareness for homeless young people. For our volunteers who are sleeping we are not attempting to match any sense of danger of real rough sleeping.

Story

I will be sleeping outside overnight on the 21 April 2017 from 7pm-7am rather than in my nice comfy bed at home! I'm just hoping it won't be snowing that night, which can happen in April!

I am now being joined in this adventure by a number of staff who also want to help the cause.  Melissa Hart and Georgina Walls so far, maybe more to follow!

We are doing this because we want to raise awareness of the large number of young homeless people on the streets of Bolton. These youngsters are homeless for many reasons, it could be violence at home, alcohol abuse and some because they have been thrown out of their parents' house and have nowhere to go.   A lot of the people I know live a privileged life and want for nothing.  I would like everybody I know to take the time to imagine what it must be like to be homeless.

we want to raise money for the great charity BYPHS who provide supported housing for 16-25 year olds in Bolton who find themselves in difficulties.  Please make a donation to help these youngsters. Any donation however small would be greatly appreciated.
