Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am going to (attempt to ) run the Manchester Marathon on the 29th April to help raise funds for Breakthrough Breastcancer , the UK' s leading charity funding research into finding causes for and hopefully a cure for breast cancer.

I have chosen to do this (even though I swore i d never do another ) , in tribute to a much missed friend and colleage Michelle Whyte, who lost her own battle with breast cancer last December . She s left a massive gap in the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know her , and her bravery and positive outlook inspired me to attempt to do something positive myself to try and help fight this disease that kills around 1000 women a month in the UK. I'm hoping that friends, family , colleagues and maybe local businesses will help me to reach my target of £1000 . Im not a natural runner ( Lisa English are you reading this ), so it s not a walk in the park for me by any means - any donations would be very gratefully received however small bearing in mind the current economic climate and number of other sponsor requests that go around at this time of year :)
