I was diagnosed with stage 1 grade 2 invasive ductal breast cancer in June this year and had surgery in August. Next step is radiotherapy. Things have moved very quickly since June, hardly time to take it all in but now I’m cancer free! Although I was given the all clear I will need annual mammograms for the next 5 years and 5 years of hormone therapy to prevent it coming back.
