The last time I ran a marathon was Paris 2015, and Neil was still alive. Having trained mostly injured, I just about completed it, and said i would never do another one. Neil congratulated me, and suggested I go and have a well deserved glass of the pink stuff.

So, three years later and here I am, about to run the Jersey Marathon with my training buddy Steve, in memory of Neil on what would have been his 44th birthday.

Rather than running for just the shear joy it, myself and Steve wanted to raise some funds for our chosen charities. The reason is clear as to why I want to raise money for this charity, Neil was a wonderful person in every sense, cheeky, kind, loving, charismatic, dynamic, a family man and an all round good guy, and we adored him. Like many he was taken much too soon. Neil's wife, children and family have worked tirelessly, so that Neil's death would produce something positive, and this charity is the result.
