Thank you for supporting us. We help people living with multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's Disease and stroke survivors by offering a number of life changing and supportive therapies and treatments enabling them to live their best lives.

Story

Inspired by my friend Alex's successful challenge to row 1 million metres in 2015, I have decided to take on an equally crazy sounding challenge for the new year - to deadlift a combined total of 1 million kilograms, and to raise £1000 for the Chilterns MS Centre whilst doing so. That's £1 raised for every metric tonne lifted.

For those that don't know, my mum was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) some 20 years ago. MS is a neurological condition which affects around 100,000 people in the UK. Symptoms vary from person to person but for my mum, MS has meant a steady decline in her dexterity, strength and mobility over the years.

The Chilterns MS Centre has played a key role in my mum's treatment, with an array of physio and hydro therapies, acupuncture and social support groups. The NHS provides no long-term treatment for people with MS, so centres like The Chilterns MS Centre rely on public donations to continue providing their essential service.
