My London Marathon for an inspirational woman with lymphoma!

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
I’m not very good at sharing private matters but I feel this will hopefully help me raise money for a great charity so here goes.
On the 22nd December 2020 me and my little sister were given the worst news I think you could ever receive and that was being told that your mum has cancer. I could not begin to explain the feeling of hearing those words and the thoughts that run through my mind. I think it was harder to accept due to being still young (26) and having a younger sister and having a mum that we are so close with and whom we look up to as an inspiration and strength that we both rely on.
After getting over the initial shock I begun to go into organisation and planning mode making sure my mum had everything she needed for her first chemo. I can’t thank Taylor Moore and Joe Spinks enough for helping me and giving me advice as Taylor had been through this already and won her battle with lymphoma.
My mum is doing well and battling hard like the strong women she is. We are being as positive as we can and hoping for the best with only 5 more chemo sessions left.
Going onto why I chose this charity is because my mum has found there Instagram page helpful and they also provide a lot of services to help those with lymphoma but not only them they also help family and friends who are struggling to come to terms with the news.
I know there are many people that are going through the same thing we are and I would like to raise awareness through fundraising so hopefully more people are aware of the charity as they can assist in many ways.
I would appreciate any donation big or small and hopefully with your help I can achieve my fundraising goal for a great charity. Thank you for reading my story and thank you in advance for any donations
