Thanks for taking the time to visit my new JustGiving page. I decided to set this up to give a final boost to my sponsorship pledges that I have collected in person so far.

I only started Open Water swimming this summer, and I'm really enjoying it.

I entered my first event last month at Reading Lake, which was 1500m (just under 1 mile) and really wanted to do another one.

I thought this Mencap swim was perfect. It gave me an opportunity to raise money for a worthy cause and swim at an Olympic venue!

I have never swam 3 miles in Open Water before, so I'm looking forward to it, but I've heard that the temperature might dip to  16-17C, so it could be quite chilly!
