Walking and Beach Cleaning the Southwest Coast Path

Erin Tyrrell is raising money for British Divers Marine Life Rescue

Walking and Beach Cleaning the Jurassic Coast · 1 July 2020

British Divers Marine Life Rescue is an organisation dedicated to the rescue and well being of all marine animals in distress around the UK. Continuing to train teams of volunteers and maintaining specialised equipment is vital and your support will help us continue our important work.

Story

Hey,

My name is Erin Tyrrell, or @jcbeachcleaner on Instagram, and I am walking the 630 miles of the Southwest Coast Path, from Minehead to Poole Harbour, with my litter picker. During this walk I will be stopping off at certain locations to clean the beaches and shoreline. I plan to do this in March - April 2021

I am doing this to raise money for British Divers Marine Life Rescue, who provide assistance to marine and freshwater animals in need. They provide specialist training to medics that are deployed all over the country. Whether that is to check up and assist on a reported incident, such as a whale stranding or for an environmental disaster, like an oil spill. Please read about some of the fantastic work that they do, and also about the issues that marine life is facing, at: https://bdmlr.org.uk/threats-to-wildlife

and help to Save the Whales.
