JCB Mud Run · 5 July 2014

Menkes disease is a fatal illness in which the intestines are unable to absorb copper, depriving the brain and other tissues of this essential mineral.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Sally-Ann McKevitt, Kelly Hill and Natalie Hill are doing the JCB Mud Run on July 5th. The Mud Run is a 6 mile assault course which, as the name suggests, involves a lot of mud! There are tunnels, monkey bars, climbs, cammo nets and a whole lot more, making this a challenging event for all of us.

The reason we are putting ourselves through this is not for the exfoliating benefits of the mud, it is because of a very special person close to our hearts, our nephew Ollie.

Ollie has a condition called Menkes. In 2010 as a family we founded Menkes Charity UK.
