Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Alan, my eldest son, joined me on a challenging but rewarding trek in Uttarakhand this October. You can see some of the pictures I took on this page. We came to JustGiving too late to create the page before the event, but it's certainly not too late to reward us for our efforts.

The money goes to a good cause: helping children in poor Himalayan communities to complete their education. We do this by finding them sponsors, providing resources for their schools, building new schools and classrooms, stocking libraries with books, placing volunteer teachers to provide the children with a new dimension to their learning experience, and running teacher training seminars for local teachers.
